HISTORY

The construction of the guest house Aquilin of the Nimpfer family started in 2006 with the purchase of a 1850 m² plot in the south of St. Pölten, district Spratzern.

In the 1st stage, 9 single rooms and 1 common room are planned. The designated 11 solid wood boxes of a Carinthian specialist construction company were also used at the press center of the Olympic city of Turin in 2005. With complete equipment, fully equipped and installed, the boxes are lifted by crane and stacked on top of each other.

Thermal insulation, facade panels and pent roof complete the structure. A central technical room supplies the modules with heat, electricity, internet and satellite television. All rooms are separately accessible via a gallery from the outside. The first guests moved into the newly built rooms in May 2008.

In the second expansion stage, another complex will be built in 2009. It consists of 4 single rooms and 4 twin rooms with kitchenette. The guesthouse Aquilin now has a total of 13 single rooms and 4 twin rooms. At the parking lot in front of the guesthouse there is a carport with enough parking spaces.

In 2010 the cooperation with the bike rental service "nextbike" of the province of Lower Austria begins. A rental station will be set up in front of the guest house and rentable bicycles will be available throughout the year.

In 2016 DI (FH) Matthias Nimpfer takes over the management of his father Norbert Nimpfer. The rental is thus in the 2nd generation.

In 2017, a renewed extension of the guesthouse will take place. Between the two existing building complexes, 4 double-room modules are used. These solid wood boxes are also in use in a Tyrolean 4-star hotel. The modules are transferred from the road via the carport to the site by heavy-duty crane. In addition, an existing single room will be extended to a triple apartment with kitchen. The guesthouse now has 12 single, 8 double and 1 triple rooms.

Natural living and sleeping in solid wood atmosphere, a quiet local situation, an excellent bus connection to St.Pölten, sufficient parking spaces, relaxing evenings on the wooden veranda and a private, dedicated guest care to make the stay as pleasant as possible.
